Use of Pardot

We are using the Pardot Marketing Automation System (“Pardot MAS”) supplied by Pardot LLC, 950 E. Paces Ferry Rd. Suite 3300 Atlanta, GA 30326, USA (“Pardot”). Pardot is a sales force software module used to record and evaluate the use of a website by site visitors. If Pardot LLC processes personal data, it shall only be processed on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions. We have reached a special agreement with salesforce.com, Inc to ensure adherence to the EU Data Protection Directive.

When visiting our website, Pardot MAS records your clickpath and uses it to create an individual usage profile with a pseudonym. Persistent and session cookies are used for this purpose enabling your browser to be recognized. Cookies are set up in such a way that they remember settings (such as values in formula fields) when a user returns to a website. Pardot also uses a cookie for registered users so that the session is maintained and table filters are saved.

Users are assigned a unique answer-back ID (visitor_id) when they visit our sites. The visitor data record also includes the host, source (if reference information is included), the IP, the first and last page accessed, time stamp, and pages visited. If you complete fields that are linked to Pardot, we will process this information and link it to the other activities.

The legal basis for the use of cookies is Article 6, Section 1, page 1 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We use cookies to ensure the proper functioning of the website, to provide the basic functions, and to tailor our website to preferred areas of interest. This is why we have a legitimate interest in processing data.
You can deactivate the creation of pseudonymous usage profiles at any time by configuring your Internet browser so that cookies from the “pardot.com” domain are not accepted. However, this may limit the functions and user-friendliness of our website to a certain extent.
